Showcasing Hemp Innovation at Singapore International Agri-Food Week 2024

Rare Earth Global’s journey to the Singapore International Agri-Food Week was nothing short of extraordinary! The event kicked off with an unexpected encounter with former Formula One World Champion, Nico Rosberg. After delivering our elevator pitch, Nico’s reaction—“That’s your company? Great name!”—set the tone for a week filled with exciting opportunities to promote hemp products and decarbonised solutions.

We began at the GROW Accelerator in Ayer Rajah Crescent, honing our pitch with expert guidance from Zal Dastur, Madhura Moulik, and Anshul Magotra. This preparation paid off during our presentation at the British High Commission’s event, where we introduced our vision for sustainable supply chains to key stakeholders in Singapore.

The Asia-Pacific Agri-Food Innovation Summit provided an excellent platform to highlight the role of carbon-negative products in transforming industries. Dr Koh Poh-Koon, Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment, underscored the critical links between climate, agriculture, and food security, aligning with Rare Earth Global’s mission to revolutionise the agri-food sector.

Our team also took part in the panel “Revolutions in Aqua feed: Breaking Dependencies on Carbon-Intensive Aquafeed Sources.” Collaborating with thought leaders like Chen Zhu from Aqua-Spark and researchers from the University of Stirling, we emphasised the potential of hemp biocomposites and sustainable aqua feed in reducing environmental impacts.

Between meetings and networking events—set against the stunning Singapore skyline—we solidified our expansion plans in Thailand, with Australia and Indonesia next in line. This week highlighted the growing global demand for B2B marketplaces that prioritise sustainability and innovation.

Special thanks to our partners at Innovate UK, GROW, and Rethink Events for their invaluable support. Rare Earth Global is proud to lead the charge in creating sustainable supply chains with hemp products, paving the way for a greener, carbon-negative future.
